Subprocessors.

To run your school's app, Appier uses the service providers below. Your school's own list, with every location and the terms each one is under, is part of its data privacy agreement with us.

How we use AI

The app has no AI features. Our team uses Anthropic's Claude to help answer support requests and investigate issues, so it may see information contained in a support email or in the app's operational logs. Anthropic processes it as our service provider, under commercial terms and a data processing addendum that prohibit it from using that information to train its models. We never use school data to train AI models.

Other services the app works with

These are not our subprocessors, but your school's app connects to them:

  • Veracross, your school's own student information system and vendor. The app signs people in and reads and writes school records through it, with your school's permission.
  • The App Store and Google Play, which distribute the apps and receive no student data from us.
  • Google Maps Platform and Apple Maps, only if your school turns on the optional Community Map. Google turns the home addresses your directory shares into map coordinates, under its own terms as an independent company rather than as our subprocessor, and Apple Maps or Google Maps draws the map on the device.

Changes to this list

We tell each school before we make a material change to the subprocessors that handle its data, and we update this page with its date. Questions: security@appiertech.com. How we protect school data is on our security page, and what the app collects is in the app privacy notice.
